This rifle is built on a locally produced duel port, left bolt action. The barrel is a Shilen 1/12 twist, 32" which is epoxy bedded in a bronze barrel block. This is epoxied into a Bill Shehane heavy laminated stock which has a set of "rails" added for both extra weight and to assist in the tracking on the front and rear bags. The scope is a Premier Reticles-Leupold boosted to 20-50 power, in Kelby rings and a Davidson base with a taper to allow me a zero of around 600 yards. This zero allows me to dial the scope down to aim on at 100 yards through to 1000 yards. The reticle in the scope is a fine cross hair with a 1/8" dot in the center - this is a design I find suitable for both benchrest and varmint suiting. The rifle is intended for 500 yard and 1000 yard target competition in the heavy rifle event. Finished weight of the rifle is 47 pounds.
