IBS 1000 Yard Nationals

In September 2000 I traveled to America to compete in the IBS 1000 Yard Nationals at the Hawks Ridge club in North Carolina. I took my 6-284 to compete in light gun and, due to limits on transporting baggage internationally, I arranged to borrow a rifle for the heavy gun event. In short, I had a great time at the Nationals. Everyone was extremely friendly and hospitable. I learned a lot and shot pretty well in the heavy gun event (we wont discuss my light gun performance!). I have to especially thank Bob and Leslie Crone for loaning me their heavy gun and for helping me so much. Thanks also to Bill Shehane and Steve Shelp who helped me iron out all the travel and accommodation to make the visit happen.
